Baby Steps to turn a student's Math confidence

When a child says "I don't like Math" that is a red flag and concern for me. Even though some students are more gifted in Math, I believe all students can build confidence and make progress in their Math learning. The saying "If you think you can't, you can't" applies here. My job as a Math tutor is to first help a student experience success and start to believe they can do this Math. It can happen ... one day at a time ... baby steps :)
